Questions / Answers regarding GDPR

I work with other advertising companies besides The Moneytizer. Will I show two or more consent banners on my website?

If you have already placed a consent banner on your website – from another advertising company – which is compatible with IAB standards, The Moneytizer banner will not be displayed. Our banner will detect that the user has already given his consent and will not appear.

My website is hosted in a non-European country. Should I also show the consent banner?

The new regulations are only for European websites. Therefore, the consent banner will only be displayed if a user visits your website from Europe.

Why is it important to display the consent banner for the monetization of my website?

So that all our advertising partners can continue to buy advertising spaces on your website and you can keep monetizing your audience in the best conditions, it is necessary to have the consent of your users.

What happens if users don’t give their consent?

If a large number of your visitors don’t give their consent, the monetization of your site may be affected.

What happens if I use WordPress on my website?

You don’t have to do anything to show the consent banner. We will automatically display the banner on your website, regardless of the platform on which your website is hosted.

The audience of my website comes from different countries. Will the consent banner always be displayed?

The banner will only be displayed when the visit comes from a European country for the first time.

I am not in Europe, how can I access the banner?

You can see what your banner looks like using a VPN.

My income has decreased since I installed the banner, why?

If many of your users do not consent that an advertiser leave cookies on their browsers, your ad spaces are purchased at a lower CPM, so your revenue drops. However, it is possible to present the banner to users again, although they have already answered “no”. The IAB (Interactive Advertising Bureau) has not yet given any exact directive on the time allowed before being able to represent the banner.
